The Witch of Irvington is returning once again for another day full of magic and witchery! Each year she comes to the studio by night, leaving us everything we need to create bubbling potions- bone dust, crow beaks, snake venom, and more. Who knows what the sorceress has up her sleeve this year!
Join us for an afternoon of spells, potion making, and magic! This workshop is suitable for children ages 4-12. Class can be drop-off, but we encourage families to stay and enjoy the magic together! :)
Our popular Dollhouse Design class is back for round 5 and we couldn’t be happier! Each child will receive a blank wooden dollhouse to transform into a creative play space of their dreams. Will it be a replica of their home? A princess castle? A superhero lair??
Students will be sketching out designs, creating color palettes, constructing furniture, and creating peg dolls in this unique and fun class. Boys, please don’t be discouraged from attending! We’ve had several boys attend this class/camp and they had a blast. Dollhouses are for everyone!
This is a drop-off class meeting Saturday Nov 3, 10, 17, and 24th from 2-3:30pm. This class is suitable for children ages 5-12. No refunds.
This registration is for the 5 week Preschool Art Group beginning Thursday September 6th and ending Thursday October 4th. This is a drop-off class suitable for children ages 3.5-5.
Preschool Art Playgroup is the next step up from our popular Toddler Art Playgroup. In this course we focus on further strengthening our sensory, social, and art making skills through open-ended, process-based art. In this course you can expect your children to learn proper art terminology, learn how to properly use a wide variety of materials and tools, and of course you will have the privilege of watching them get lost in the process of expressing themselves through art!
This drop-in class is hosted some Saturday mornings from 10-11am. There is no pre-registration required. Price is $12/session. Check calendar for full schedule.
The Toddler Art Playgroups provide endless opportunities for sensory exploration and help strengthen fine motor function, cognition, and social skills through art free-play. Children are free to explore the materials provided during the 45 minute session at length, and will be gently encouraged to use all of their senses while creating.
Some activites you may see are: painting with hands,fingers, and self-made brushes, sponge painting, exploring modeling clay, collage creating, basic printmaking, exploring with loose parts, creating patterns, building in 3D and more. No sick children, please, as germs spread fast within this age group. Children must be fever free for at least 24hrs. Dress for mess!
**Drop-in classes do not follow the same activities as the Thursday group. Thursday art playgroup will be working on a few long-term projects. Saturday group does not participate in those.**
