Alicia Davis
Alicia has been a lover of art since she was child. That inspiration started from finger painting and grew over the years- from pottery to painting and fashion design. She loves getting messy and being covered in paint or clay or oil pastels, and seeing something beautiful end up on the canvas in front of her. “Time is never wasted when something beautiful is created.” I love that every time I put pencil to paper I feel less stressed. Art seems to take all the negative feels and leaves you with a beautiful mess. Those drawings become my favorite because they remind me of hard moments that I’ve overcome.
Favorite Art Medium/Project: A tie between watercolors and pastels. I have a few favorite styles of art but I love surrealism and contemporary art. My favorite artists are Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, and the American sculptor Alexander Calder.
Favorite Color: forest green

I absolutely love working with bright colors, and have been experimenting more with textures, collage, and embroidery. I feel driven to help people see that they already have the ability to make art inside themselves; all they have to do is keep showing up!”
Favorite Art Medium/Project: Right now I love working with watersoluble crayons and gouache.
Favorite Color: I have a very strong love affair with yellow, however I am also currently obsessed with combining pink and red.
