Line+Form Art Center is a process-based art studio in Indianapolis where kids and adults explore creativity through art classes, camps, birthday parties, and our drop-in Art Cafe.

We believe creativity should feel freeing, not intimidating, so we’ve created a space where you can let go of expectations, get a little messy, and follow your curiosity. No pressure, no perfection—just the freedom to make something that’s entirely your own.

Our Story

Line+Form began as a space for children and families to create and connect. Founded by Fran Samarripa in 2016, it started as a small studio for kids and has grown into a community art hub for all ages.

As the first process-based art studio in Indianapolis, Line+Form introduced a new way to experience art—one rooted in exploration, connection, and self-expression. Over the years, it has become a creative home shaped by the people, families, and artists who have been part of it along the way.

Now, in our new home inside the Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis, we’re expanding that vision even further. With more space to create and new ways to gather—including our Art Cafe—we’re building something that feels both deeply rooted and full of possibility.

And at 10 years in, it feels like we’re just getting started.
