She’s the reason any of this exists. 🥹
Yesterday, the artist who inspired it all finally got to see the new studio.
We got our hands dirty—mapping out the Art Café, measuring, taping, and imagining what this space will become as it all starts to come together.
Ella has grown up in this studio over the past ten years. She’s spent countless hours by my side—watching me prep, teach, clean, and dream.
As much as this space is a gift to our community, it’s been the greatest gift to our family. 🤍#lineandform #processart #artstudio #indianapolismoms #indywithkids
Summer art camps are filling up ☀️🎨
We keep our camps intentionally small so each child has space to create, explore, and feel supported with low artist to instructor ratio — which means spots go quickly!
Several weeks are already over half full, and a few are close to selling out.
If summer creativity is on your list, now is a great time to reserve your spot ✨

Ten years ago Line+Form began as a tiny art studio with a passion for creativity and community.
Our biggest chapter begins now. 🎨

✨ NEW LOCATION! ✨
We are thrilled to announce the reopening of Line+Form Art Center inside the Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis, @camimuseum 🎨
Ten years ago, Line+Form began as a small studio with a big belief: art should be playful, experimental, and accessible to everyone. This new chapter takes that vision even further.
CAMi is the perfect fit for Line+Form’s next chapter. With artist studios, gallery spaces, a performing arts stage, café, and a creative community all under one roof, our students will be immersed in the arts from the moment they walk through the doors. 🎨
Our new home inside CAMi’s main building will actually be TWO homes.
✨ The first: a brand new Line+Form Art Café concept — a drop-in studio for adults and children. Think you-paint pottery… but with the playful, exploratory process art twist of Line+Form. More details coming soon!
🎨 The second: a traditional Line+Form classroom studio — the perfect space for the classes, camps, birthday parties, and family workshops you already know and love.
Beyond the walls of the museum, we’ll also be creating outdoors—utilizing the beautiful grounds of CAMi, as well as nearby Garfield Park, Garfield Park Conservatory, and the Sunken Gardens, reopening this summer. 🌼
A heartfelt thank you to @jim_jwalker, @bigcarpix, and @camimuseum for this incredible opportunity.
I cannot wait to bring Line+Form into CAMi, reveal our new Art Café concept, and most of all celebrate TEN YEARS of Line+Form by opening our third location.
See you in May. 🥳🎉
Yesterday I had the honor of being the keynote speaker for the Indiana Youth Art Month kickoff event at the Indiana Statehouse. 🎨 In addition to speaking to the student artists, families, educators, and community supporters of the arts, I had the opportunity to judge the juried art show for K-12 students alongside my co-judge, @artrageousnate 🎨 It was a truly wonderful day, a beautiful event, and a super fun opportunity to talk about what I love- ART! You can catch the artwork by stopping into the statehouse during their open hours now through the end of March.

SUPER MEGA AWESOME ANNOUNCEMENT COMING SOON! 🤩🥳🤪 I’ve been waiting nearly 5 years for this. Searching for the right spot. Dreaming of what reopening Line+Form would look like. Reflecting on mistakes I made in the past and thinking of what I’d do differently with the knowledge and experience I’ve acquired over the years. Manifesting something just as magical as our previous two spaces…. Well. I think we’ve manifested something even more amazing than our last two spaces (if you can even imagine that. I’m still pinching myself!) and I am over the moon to share it with you SOON!!!! 🤭🤗
•
If you’re local to Indy, any guesses on where our next home might be?! Correct guesses get you a free open studio pass this spring! 🥰
IMPORTANT INFO: Summer Art Camps will be posted SOON! 🎨✨ Thank you to everyone who has reached out asking when we will be posting. Here’s the rundown of where we are at… All camps are fully planned, we are just waiting on the space! We are waiting to hear back about summer availability from the space we typically rent out each summer. This is our Plan A, as it’s been the home for our camps for the past 3 summers. 🎨
•
With that said…there are TWO permanent spaces that are sort of up in the air for us right now! If one of those ends up working out, we will be reopening our own studio and summer camps will be held there. I wish I had more to give you guys, but this is where we are at! At the mercy of others and the universe’s will ☺️ I promise to keep you updated as we find out more, and as SOON as I can post summer camps I will!!🎨

Year 10, let’s see what you have in store!! 🖤
2025 🥳🎉The year I taught art camps with a 6 week old. The year a wonderful student became one of our camp leaders. The year we welcomed so many familiar faces, and so many new! The year I felt like we really got back to our process art roots, enjoying the beauty of letting kids lead. The year I felt very proud of several of my project ideas and the direction our artists took them. The year I got accepted to Butler’s Mental Health Counseling Master’s program and maintained a 3.98 gpa with a baby and a teen! 😅 The year that little baby made our family feel complete, adding so much love, joy, and laughter! 🖤🥰
•
2025 was such a wonderful year for Line+Form, even in our very scaled back version of the studio. 2026 marks year TEN of the studio and I am so excited for what’s to come! There are talks of a new space…. The return of our amazing art camps (being posted in 2 weeks!!) and so much more. Here’s to a wonderful 2025 and a very Happy New Year to all of you!!! 🖤

With love, Miss Fran 🥰
This week celebrated NINE YEARS of Line+Form 🤯🥹🫶🏽 September 1st, 2016 I opened the doors to our first studio in Irvington. With about $5,000, no prior business experience, as a full time art therapy student and mom to a 4 year old- I turned a wild idea into a business plan and never looked back. 🎨
•
Those first three years in Irvington were so amazing. We grew faster than I ever thought possible! In year 4 we designed and built a new studio downtown in a building that I still mourn. Such a gorgeous space created with the intent to bring children and families of the neighborhood together through art. And that we did! 🥰
•
I am so grateful for every Line+Form moment over the past 9 years. I’m thankful my Ella got to grow up in the studio with so many of your amazing children. I’m grateful for the support of so many families who grew with us, and honestly watched me grow! I hope this space has brought many of you joy over the years, and will continue to bring you joy for years to come! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINE+FORM ART CENTER! 🥳🥳🥳
ART SHOW DAY 🤗 The last day of camp is always so exciting because it’s the day we welcome our families in for our Art Show! The campers get to showcase and talk about the work they’ve created throughout the week. This week we showed our soft sculptures, pool noodle sculptures, and giant mixed media self portraits! 😁
•
Can you tell we had a camp full of big personalities this week?! 😂 I’ll miss these artists, for sure!! Thank you for another amazing week of art camp!
POOL NOODLE SCULPTURES: PART 2/2 ⤵️
•
Inspired by greats like Calder, Bourgeois, and Koons- our abstract sculptures look as though they could be 100 feet tall and crafted from steel! Imagine seeing these life sized in New York, Paris, Chicago! Walking underneath the giant arches or through the loops. Getting the perfect instagram pic, of course 😉
•
I am so proud of how hard the BIG Art Campers worked on these. The finished product is so strikingly beautiful! Painting these was not easy and very time consuming, but they kept at it until the very last ten minutes of the day! Their focus, attention to detail, and teamwork was inspiring to watch. 🫶🏽
•
I can’t wait to see these displayed at their art show tomorrow! If you’re one of the lucky parents taking these home, please send me a pic of where you display them in your home! I’d love to see 😍
POOL NOODLE SCULPTURES: PART 1/2 ⤵️
•
Every now and then we do a project and I think to myself, “These are so amazing, they could literally be in a museum.” This. THIS is one of those projects. Pool noodles are such a great art material because the creative boundaries are so wide, and they’re like $1 each! Win win. 🙌🏽
•
To start this project, we partnered up to help one another wrangle our giant noodles! One person was the assistant while the other was the sculptor, and then we flipped. Each camper received one pool noodle cut into three pieces: one half piece and two quarter pieces. I’ve found the best way to cut pool noodles is with a serrated bread knife! Using our hot glue guns, the campers arranged their noodles in compositions with the goal of having their sculpture look *interesting* from every angle. They glued the noodles to plastic bases from Dollar Tree, and voila! The results speak for themselves 😍
•
While we loved the way they looked in color, today, we spent the ENTIRE day painting them either black or white with acrylic paint. This started as a solo endeavor but turned collaborative by the afternoon, which I love :) Stay tuned for Part 2 to see how they turned out!! Will you be trying pool noodle sculptures this summer?? We’d love to see!
We’ve got ONE spot left in our BIG ART Summer Camp next week! 🙌🏽 What better way to make a statement with your art than working LARGE?! This camp is all about creating large scale masterpieces that can’t be missed. 😁

ART SHOW DAY 🎉 The last day of camp holds so much excitement because it’s Art Show Day (and our infamous Burger King field trip 😂). The artists get to share all of their hard work with their families, talking to them about all they learned throughout the week. 🎨👩🏼🎨
•
It brings me so much joy to see our campers take pride in their hard work, and I love getting to see the same families summer after summer. Messy Art Camp absolutely lived up to its name 😆 and was a total blast! Can’t wait to see everyone in July at BIG ART Camp! 🖤
Messy Art Camp is all the best things about Process Art combined into one: sensory play, exploration, imagination, child-led learning, and MESSY FUN! 🎉🎨
•
We started our week exploring color and color mixing using various mediums, creating our own custom colors and giving them names like “brown bananas” and “cotton candy pink”. 🍌
•
These little artists have been SO wonderful- working diligently, showing kindness to one another, jumping in to clean up our messy fun, and most importantly enjoying their week at camp. 🥰👌🏽
