Learn how to create a mixed media portrait of your pet or favorite animal! Artist Candice Hartsough will help you loosen up, see shapes within figures, and experiment with mixed media without expecting a perfect outcome. Previous drawing experience is not required. Our main aim is to have fun! Class participants will create one 8”x10” piece on paper using materials like watercolor pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels, watercolor paints, and colored pencils.

Students should bring a photo of their pet (or favorite animal) on their phone, iPad, or printed for reference. All other materials, snacks, and drinks provided!

Workshop takes place at The Art Cafe, located inside CAMi- The Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis, 1125 Cruft Street.
